Directions to Redlands Lawn and Tennis

Getting to Redlands from Los Angeles

Redlands is East of Los Angeles, some 80 miles from the international airport (LAX), and a minimum time is an hour and a half. It can easily take two hours (or more) if traffic is bad.

Redlands is just off Interstate freeway I-10. To get onto I-10 East from LAX, the best way is to take I-105 East, then I-605 North.

From the airport or the car hire area, you head south for a couple of blocks and get onto I-105. The rental company should be able to give you local directions to pick up I-105. Continue for 16 miles. At end of 105, fork left onto I-605, for 12 miles. Turn right onto I-10 in the direction of San Bernardino. Continue for 42 miles. Exit I-10 at the intersection with Alabama St. The turns just before Alabama include Waterman and California.

Redlands Lawn and Tennis

On reaching Redlands on I-10, turn right onto Alabama St, and continue through four sets of lights and forward about a mile to the end of the road, where it meets Barton Road. Turn left onto Barton Road, go through one set of lights, and Redlands Lawn and Tennis Club is on the left (only a few hundred yards from Alabama).

It's a gated complex. Assuming the gate is open, drive down to a T junction (clubhouse opposite)and find a space to park. Walk down the path to the right of the clubhouse, past the swimming pool (also on the right). Block 24 is at the end on the left, overlooking the green area in the middle of the complex. Apartment 2416 is upstairs.

If the gates are shut, then either wait for someone else to come in, or you can enter code 385 on the keypad, which should phone our apartment, and if we press key 9 on our phone will open the gate for you! Alternatively, telephone us on (909) 856 8300, and we'll come and rescue you.
