Margaret Hardy's Poetry

I've written poems since 2018, and a selection for each year (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) are presented below, after this first example:

Riches to Rags

Rags - now I’m just a pile of cloths
Full of holes, eaten by moths.
Once I was a pretty dress
Worn by a lady to impress.
Once I was two elegant suits
Worn with top hat, cane and boots.
Once fine clothes the gentry wore
Now just cloths to wipe the floor
Once I was those garments fine
Now I’ve fallen on hard times.
Rags – now I’m just a pile of cloths
Full of holes, eaten by moths.
